Use the ebay feedback properly and stop trying to manipulate its whole purpose. They ripped you off to the tune of £70 and they know it. They have to have negative feedback. They have probably have so much positive feedback because so many people don't want to give negative in case it affects their feedback. This is not the purpose of feedback. It's there to warn geniune buyers and sellers. Most people can judge from negative feedback if its just their out of retailiation etc. Don't you wish someone had warned you?

IMO Ebay really need to overhaul the feedback system. There should be a fixed period, say 4 weeks, in which you can leave feedback. Only when the 4 weeks is up should the feedback be made public. This would stop tit for tat feedback and provide a more realistic picture of the transactions. If you feel you have had a malicious feedback just for fun by someone you should be able to complain to Ebay.

If your sister is a Police Officer why didn't you speak to her as soon as it happened? Else I would have called Police immediately.

    Thanks

First of all I don't really speak to my sister that much as she lives quite far away and to be honest i've been really busy looking for a new job so this wasn't a high priority. But now I've sorted myself with a good job I can try and sort this out.
I will be leaving Negative as your right I wish someone could of warned me. Ebay is really annoying though because whatever I write no one can see it anyway as they have private feedback.
I have sent an email already stating that they owe me money so first of all I will wait a couple of days to see if they pay up. Then I will leave the negative feedback.

I'm just trying not to get stressed about it, I know i'm £70 down but I know for sure I have learnt from my mistakes.
For a start I would never sell a bike/car on ebay, also to check every note carefully. Even my gf who works in tsb only spotted one of the notes was fake they were pretty good imo.

Thanks for the advise, I have transfered the paypal money. I have also got all information about them, e.g. address from V5 etc.
The trouble with the feedback bit, they have 'Private' feedback :(

I doubt I can do anything about it really as its my word against theres.

dont dispair contact paypal and go to dispute , do the same with ebay give all details to police . its important to let every1 know and maybe prevent it happening to any1 else. all the best :grouphug:

I will do, its just that 'Private' feedback thing. No one will know what they are like as they won't be able to read my feedback I give them.
I don't know why ebay created that feature as it just encourages fraud

I totally agree. Why should feedback be private? That is the whole point of it!

Some good news anyway, I sent them a few emails basically saying pay me the money they owe. I said if they don't I am travelling to Wales(where they live)in the next few weeks to visit some friends so I will collect the money in person if thats easier for them, I said I had the address from the V5 document.
I also did an ebay dispute thing what people on here recommended.
Then today I was pleasently supprised that they transfered £30 in to my paypal account!

So i'm happy now, I know they gave me a couple of fake notes but with that its my word against theres. I'm happy to get a little back :)

Thanks all for the advise given much appreciated :)
