Every company I contact to get details on this I get the same response we only keep records for 6 years. Even the bank.
We destroyed a lot of paperwork 2 years ago because it was just cluttering the house
Any advice?
Thanks

It would help if you told us why you need it.0

I would guess at looking into making a claim for potentially overcharged interest vs commission.
OP. Companies are required to keep data only as long as it is required and justified. This means a lot of companies have data deletion policies which involve deleting/disposing of data 6 years after the end of any activity in relation to the data.
So if your agreements ended more than 6 years ago it is quite reasonable that the data has been disposed of.
