Ev charger and loop supply

It depends on circumstances. I charge my car about once every three weeks at a cost of around £7.50 at 27.7 pence per KW. It would take me many years to see back the cost of a wall charger (around £1,000 fitted).Petriix said:
On the contrary, in many situations a smart EVSE is a requirement for access to the cheapest EV tariffs. Unlooping should be free. Getting a proper charge point would likely save money in the medium term.lordmountararat said:I have an EV and I'm not bothering with a home charger. Just buy a suitable certified EV lead (mine cost under £200) and plug it into a three pin socket. Specialist EV three pin sockets are available if wanted. OK, charging will take longer, but you'll be saved a lot of expense and hassle.0 -
Definitely Not worth it for you. I don’t think I’d even have a car if I was only doing 30 odd miles a week.1
