Cheery's path to fulfilment - finishing the DIY, looking after myself, appreciating the garden 🌻

Well I ended up spending about 3.5 hours in front of the computer 😬 But I did get a decent wodge finished. Going to do a couple of hours tomorrow I think, then Mr C has another band practice on Monday so I'm going to spend a few hours then, especially as we'll have stayed over near work the night before at a party so I can make use of the facilities. Sunday I'll have completely off.
Good bit of garden progress too - I cleared most of the bed at the edge of the veg patch that I want to put herbs in. I've got a rosemary that wants to come out of the greenhouse, and a marjoram that needs relocating from down near the house where it never gets any light, and I want to try to propagate some of my ancient woody sage too so that's all a good start 😊 A job for tomorrow, I think.
Also want to buy myself a hoe. Absolutely convinced I already have one, but I can't find it anywhere. I have a dreadful habit of leaving tools lying around, and with the amount of space I have it's unlikely I'll ever find it again (until I'm trying to run the lawnmower over it or something 🙄). That might be a job for tomorrow.
So, on the overambitious list for tomorrow 😁
⭐ Slimming world - won't have lost anything but that's not my priority this week
⭐ cafe with Mr C
⭐ couple of hours work (but very definitely limiting it to a couple of hours)
⭐ buy a hoe!
⭐ relocate all herbs
⭐ plant more seeds - only done beans and peas so far
⭐ pot up plants from last weekend
⭐April budget & banks
⭐ blog post
Might also have a bath, do a bit of flute playing etc 😊 Oh, and think about what to spend that voucher on before I forget about it again!

Ha, thanks Beanie!
I was talked into buying a cheap one in town, and of course it doesn't have an actual blade. It's good for disturbing the soil, but won't slice off a weed. It's already annoying me but better than nowt! Will keep an eye out for a decent one.
Mr C left a bag in a cafe yesterday, so of course we had to go back to retrieve it this morning and have another cuppa while we were there 😂
Today was the first time in over 5 months that I haven't done yoga before getting dressed 😱 A conscious decision - I'd started to fret a bit about not doing the 'right' or next practice on my list, which didn't really feel in the spirit of things, especially since I was mostly doing it for relaxation! So today we went out without me doing it, and instead I've done 45 mins while Mr C made (and presumably ate - it's all gone quiet out there) soup. Feels good to have got it done, and I still trust myself to do it even if not first thing. Don't want to make a habit of leaving it though.
Off to a BBQ later today, and staying over, so I do want to pack some stuff - going to be working tomorrow too. Bit rainy this afternoon, so I'm going to stay indoors and do stuff I didn't do yesterday - hoovering, budgeting, blog post etc, and maybe a bit of flute playing.
Popped into Mr S for some milk earlier and remembered to buy a Freddie. Apparently last year I was the number 4 buyer of Freddos in our local Mr S 😂 Aiming (in a very vague, non-active way) to at least make it into the top 3 this year 😂.

Right. Friends have said they want us to bring the gazebo this evening, so we are going earlier than planned 😬 But I am going to prioritise the budget first - not done since about 2nd April I don't think 😬 Wish me luck!!

Hands Cheery a fortified coffee to help her through the number wrangling! Nothing like a Ba1leys to keep you going on a grey Sunday afternoon!
4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)Original End Date - Sept 2041 New projection - Sep 2038 (reduced by 3 years)4 -
Ha, thank you! Wrangling was relatively painless, although I wasn't particularly strict with my categorisation (some of the supermarket spends may have been personal or diesel rather than food). Regardless, we were £149 over the overall total 😬
Anyway, gazebo delivered to BBQ and put up, we nipped to someone else's house for a cuppa, and now heading back to the BBQ 😊

Thank you lovely people 😊
We did indeed have a lovely time 😊 didn't stay up late either, bed by 11.15 😂 had a quick breakfast with our pals, then we hopped off and I spent the day working (well, alternately working and despairing at not being able to focus 😬)
Getting there with this work towards my deadline. 38.5 hours to go now 😬 although I'm not sure it's helping me to count down like that 😬 feel like I'm making everything worse rather than better at this point, undoing things I thought were clear… Hey ho.
I'm going to stay at home tomorrow. I contemplated going to the office to be in a more work like environment but that actually means at least 2.5 hours of travelling, which would be better spent writing at this stage.
So, the plan for tomorrow is not to go mad. Absolute hard deadline is 1pm on Wednesday, no extensions, it's an online system and it will just close. I don't want to be doing ANYTHING other than a final proofread on Wednesday itself - everything needs to be uploaded, checked, double checked.
I'd rather not be doing anything tomorrow evening, although experience tells me I might be 😬 hopefully you won't see much of me tomorrow, but if you do, I might need a biscuit, a pat on the head, or a kick up the bum 😬😂

Oh, and I have unhelpfully really hurt my muffle finger on my right hand 😕 most inconvenient apparently I use it for literally everything 🙄 no idea how I did that, just noticed when going today, didn't get before or during the weekend 🙄
Heyho, can't do anything other than ibuprofen gel and am occasional cold compress till after the deadline 😬
