Afternoon all 😊

Well, we are making progress with the list after being derailed by a trip to town, during which we had a very w@1tr0se experience, in w@1tr0se 😬😂

The other day we went in, tried to buy2 avocados (oh dear, the stereotypes! 😂) and were charged 96p each rather than 72p. Someone checked and said they were 96p but when I showed her where we'd got them from it did indeed say 72p on that shelf. We got them for 72p.

Popped in today for something else, grabbed an avocado (Mr C has something of an obsession at the minute, having disliked them for his whole life). Got to the til - 96p. Showed the woman again, explained what happened the other day, and she immediately apologised that we'd had this twice, and gave it to us for free. She also removed the label from the shelf (and said 'we have 5 types of avocados, it's hard to keep track!' 😂)

Anyway, excellent customer service, no harm done, and a free avocado for Mr Cheery's lunch 😂😂

Weather is glorious here today. Yesterday's washing is on the line, I've sat outside for lunch and read my book, and am just sitting again after energetically mowing the grass. Mr C is weeding the space for the new plants. A lovely leisurely afternoon 😊😊

Sounds like the pivot you’ve had to do with your outside space to avoid the new neighbours, has reenergised both of you in doing things with it 😊👏

Ha, I think it's more that some are ripe and ready, some are ripen at home, some are single, some in packs... 😂😂 but yes, catering to all avocado needs! 

Yes, it's nice to be enthused about this little space 😊 It really does have a most excellent view 😊 Mr C has been battling to remove the rest of the wire fence, and I've planted 2 of the climbers - 2 more to go. Far too hot to be lugging water and compost up and down steps 😬

Stopped to find some plant ties, I stupidly undid the tape from the garden centre - one of them is spindly enough to drape up the dry stone wall (the hurdles are on top, and it'll be fine scrambling through those) but the other one is a bit top heavy. Fortunately it's not going to be rainy or windy while we're away so a bit of light propping should do it!

Well we faffed around this morning but FINALLY got everything done and left around 12.15 🙄😂 Good job we didn't choose the further option, this one is far enough and is getting longer somehow. Took us 2 hrs 40 to get to our 'lunch' stop - we ate our picnic wandering the streets and are now happily ensconced in our first cafe of the holiday (chosen mostly because of the air conditioning, which we don't have in the car 😂😂).

Somehow there's still another 2.5 hours to go 😮 And Mr C is still oblivious as to our final destination so he can't drive 😂 He's also put his back out gardening yesterday, so 5 hours in the car is NOT ideal but hey ho 🙄

Anyway, he's worked out that we are heading DOWNWARDS rather than upwards, but nothing else at this point 😂 So I suppose it's safe to tell you lot that as well 😂 (which will only really help if you know roughly whereabouts we normally hang out - your clue is that there it's possible to drive downwards from home for a good 5 + hours before running out of land 😂)
