I've managed to cook everything that needs cooking in our fridge and it's ready for the week - along with what's already cooked and in the freezer we are fed for the week - we do have two days where takeaway (or supermarket meals) will need to be had due to getting home late but the other 5 days are at home & healthy!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! Excellent work! I'm dancing a merry dance at the minute as we don't have a fridge which makes things a little more difficult!rtandon27 said:Ah but cooking is the most important bit! Sets you up to get through the week fuss free!

Two portions of an excellent quorn biriyani eaten, and two added to the freezer stash 😊😊
Radiator dance with the washing, and I think it might be time to retire one of our quilt covers, as fast as I sew up a rip it tears in another place 🙄 it's done us well, it was from Wilkos originally so not expensive, we had it in the old house so it's probably over 10 years old.
Oddly enough, we bought two around the same time, and the other one is fine, although we use it far more often in the rotation as I prefer the colour. Weird.
Anyway, it's a dark red and blue tartan design so I think I'll cut it up for present bags 😊 with a bit of green or red ribbon it'll look suitably festive 😊
We've got 3 other sets so no immediate need for a replacement (although only one of them is brushed cotton like this one) - I'll keep my eye out in the sales.7 -

Crikey Moses - if I wore brushed cotton in bed I’d turn radioactive at 4am! 😂😂 I’m still in the nude unless it gets below -5C and even then, my nightdress gets kicked off at 4am! 😉

😂😂 it's a good job we're not all in the same bed with so many different sleeping requirements! 😂😂
As long as I have my hot water bottle, I can be flexible on many other things. ALWAYS a hot water bottle, even in a heatwave 😂 Always a duvet too (never just a sheet), and often a blanket (currently two) on top - this is not a warm house, and Mr C often likes the window open). I like a brushed cotton sheet, but as long as it's mostly clean and not weirdly scratchy it's fine (Mr C used to have some shiny covers when I met him - he liked the way they looked but my feet scratched on them and I hated the damn things. Fortunately he chose me over the sheets when it came down to it!
Currently my hormonal delights haven't extended to hot flushes - I dread to think what would happen to my poor hot water bottle in that case!7
