I know! 🥵 but the electric was cheap, and our kitchen is like a cave so it was quite bearable 😂😂 i cleaned out the fridge while it was on 😂😂  

Made granola, frittata for lunch with guests tomorrow, and 3 litres of laundry liquid. Didnt seem much point adding 10 litres of water as recipe says, experimenting with concentrated version 😂

Fence posts meant to arrive today... 👀 checked tracker at 5 - at 4.34 it says 'delivery attempted, CLOSED -- NO ACCESS' 😡 we've been in all afternoon, and what's closed?? There's no gate to our drive! Weve had no call to say they're lost. Stern email sent to seller. 

Fence panels coming tomorrow from same place so hopefully they've just decided to bring everything together. Fingers crossed.

Mind you, it's still too hot to be building a fence, even now at half 7! 🥵

Grr, not having a great experience with the delivery. Yesterday's delivery now tracking to say it's out for delivery (again - but will it ever get here?) And today's delivery hasn't got any updates, so I assume is NOT out for delivery. 

Sent the fleabay company a message, no response. Tried ringing delivery company, phone lines only open Mon-Fri. Supposedly live chat opens at 9am, but it's just a chatbot, so either someone hasn't got to work early enough, or their idea of 'live chat' is just a bot pointing to aspects of their website. 

Filled in their email form, but it wouldn't let me submit without a company name. Tried various combinations of private, private house, home, none, not a company, and the name of the delivery company itself, but it wouldn't accept them. Eventually in frustration I typed 'wow - you really are !!!!!!!' and it submitted 😬😂 So now they probably won't respond because they'll accuse me of swearing at their advisers 😬😂

Very vexing, especially as we have friends coming today to help us put up the fence, and no fence to put up. We have post spikes, and may have posts before the end of the day, but as the panels are hurdles there's some variation in size, so really we'd want to wait to judge where to put each post.

Hey ho, nowt to be done. The original fence isn't finished yet so we'll focus on that. And it's probably too hot for much activity anyway!

How irritating Cheery. I've had numerous conversations along the lines of 'we don't guarantee delivery, but do our best and are still within our SLAs' and explaining that I actually need stuff when I need it. So now check carefully ... but realise the advice on the aggregate supplier's website 'don't book the work until we've delivered' is probably sensible. For those people who have room to store the stuff.

I'm going to try to spend a bit of time in the veg plot, but suspect that I may struggle to get much done. Irrigation needs sorting out, weeding needs doing, and decisions need making on what to sow in the gaps. I also need to reorganise the irrigation slightly, which might be a bit fiddly.

You're right of course @greenbee and if i was paying people to fit the fence I definitely would have waited til it was here! Hopefully we'll still have a nice day woth our pals (and they'll probably be grateful they don't have to put a fence up 😂😂)

Having said that, both posts and panels are now showing as out for delivery. I would imagine they're on the same truck, but perhaps not! We shall wait and see...

Right, best get my act together before visitors arrive...

Well we've managed to get the whole of the original fence up, so that's something! 😃 Very pleased with it. Friends have left, they've got to be elsewhere tonight. I'm just tying in a few more wires, then will cart everything back out of the field (including the gazebo, which has given us some much-needed shade today) and that might be it for useful activity today! 😂

Not holding my breath for the rest of the fence. Apparently still out for delivery, but we'll see...

Well done Cheery! I'm still working my way round the veg plot unearthing ends of soaker hose and changing connections. Once that's done I'll have to work out what order I'm going to connect them in.

Thank you Pleased to report the rest of the fence is here (finally) although we haven't put it up yet.

Anyway, seems I've been missing since last weekend, sorry! Been a busy couple of weeks with one thing and another, and I haven't worked a single day at home for a fortnight, outrageous! Also been preparing for the upcoming concert (tomorrow), visiting, and generally carrying on. 

Just did the banking, things are looking a little more squeaky in there than I'd like at the minute. My counselling sessions have been wiping out much of what would usually be our normal monthly savings, and our increased cafe habit and general driving round have wiped out the rest. Add to that various things that are going out but not being used (a magazine subscription that was a present, that ran for about 2 years - I can cancel that now and get something else for Christmas), our joint gym membership (Mr Cheery hasn't been at all since November, and I don't go often enough to justify even a single one at the minute) etc etc

Anyway, things to ponder - we're not in trouble and doing fine but I do want to get a handle on it. 

Logged back into Prolific tonight too - I had £5.13 in there and just added another £9 so that feels like a positive step! Will keep on logging in every day Back tomorrow with a better plan!
