Surely a contract that says 'no refunds if postponed is not enforceable? They could 'postpone' it for ten years!
It appears you paid out £150 via a Facebook ad but didn't read the T and C's first?
Her previous record is not relevant-though it might have been a deterrent in the first place.
No free lunch, and no free laptop1 -
Always a risk with festivals, carrying out some due diligence before purchase is essential.
Not only for situations like this but also for poor delivery of service at the event.
Who owns the event, has a licence been granted by the local council, what performers and vendors have confirmed their attendance on their own social media feeds?1 -
Hello,
I'm wondering what happened in the end with this. I know the festival you're talking about and I have had the same problem with the organiser who refused to give me a refund. The organiser has now taken down all information about the festival, but is still taking money and has stopped responding to emails. She's basically taken the money and run, so I'm wondering if you managed to get yours back?0 -

When is the event?
How did you pay?
if you paid on debit or credit card & it does not go ahead, then the day after the event was due you have a chargeback right.
if you paid via bank transfer. Then you would be looking at going down the money claim online route, so long as you know who to take to court & then it will be down to if they have any money to pay you..Life in the slow lane1
