Water dripping from Gas Boiler?
Comments
-
I got a 4 year old Saunier Duval combi boiler, noticed this morning, water dripping out the bottom of the boiler. I can see a silver metal plate in the centre where the drip is coming from which is a concern...
Anyone know why this is happening?
Many Thanks
Have you tried your Nuts?! They might need tightening and may save you a call out charge

I got it fixed yesterday, it was the bulex (or something) that went, cost £60 in total for a new one...0

We had a similar problem about a month ago - turned up to be condensation dripping out from underneath - the boiler guy fixed it diverting a bit of foil which then drained away in a pipe I think - the boiler already has a lining of foil on the bottom inside (I guess this is the norm!) and this was just diverted. Didn't cost us anything as boiler is only 3 months old and under warranty.0

Hi...could you ask him what part has been replaced? Two reasons for this request i.e. professional interest and also your contribution of this info to the thread could help out a fellow MSEr in the future.

Howdy pardner
Sounds like you had one'a mah buddies in.!!
Apart from the water in the system and the condensate which is collected in a sealed container and piped away, there should be NO water inside the boiler casing.
Sounds like a lash up (pun intended)
