Moving my mobile number to a new provider

I've just ordered my first ever contract mobile. I'm moving from Giff Gaff to ID Mobile and I want to keep my number, I've got a PAC code from Giff Gaff but I wasn't asked for it during the ordering process through Mobiles/co/uk which I believe is part of Currys.
The phone is coming tomorrow, is it a case of I have to contact them to swap the number over. I'm such a fish out of water with this so apologies if this is the most basic thing ever.

Unless desperate try to do it during the week and not with a weekend in the middle, just in case it goes wrong then at least you have normal office hours to get it sortedFloyd_Pink said:

Thanks! It all went smoothly, I think I put my details in to switch approx 5pm and by lunchtime the next day it had all been done with no dramas. Very happy with the new iPhone, the 5g is 3x faster than my home BB so I may go 5g router in May when my contract is up too. I've sorted an eSim for my trip to Central America next week too so im all sorted and dead happy.Farway said:
