3 network repair problem

Hi

I have two contracts with 3 and therefore two phones. An nokia E65 (my phone) and 6288 (my wifes) . I've been wth three four 4 years without hitch until my E65 started turning itself off for reason.

i then sent the e65 in for repair. I was picked up by courier on 9/12/07 and returned 2 days later. Fantastic, I thought especially as it was a replaced with a nice shiny refurb and all I had to do was restore the backed up files of the computer. That done I left it to charge overnight and then returned in the morning to find the screen a patch work of funny colurs and shapes. The keyboard also failed to respond intermittantly and turned of etc.

I arranged a second repair. This time by posted envelope. That took five days to arrive with the xmas post. The phone was returned on Xmas eve. This time when I opened it, it was yet another refurb but the battery provided for it was of the wrong type and had been jammed into the back of the phone and also the rear cover for the battery was missing.

In disbelief I called the customer services yet again (in bombay) and was told I'd have to await confirmation from the repair site in renfrewshire that they had messed up. Two days later, boxing day I'm told it's all my fault and I had returned the wrong battery with my phone and no cover.

I know I sent everything asked, as I packed the jiffy bag myself. I'm now awaiting another phone call from 3 to see if the repair site will admit its mistake. I'm not confident.

Also I enquired into the possibilty of having part of this months contract refunded as I have been unable to use it for most of the month. However because I swapped sim cards in my wifes phone and checked my messages and txts a couple of times throughout this period they have classified this as not being without service. How ridiculous!!!

Does anyone know a way forward in this if 3 refuse to accept their liabilty?
I just want a phone I can use, but how to I prove I didn't noble the battery and cover of my phone.

If it was just a case of getting a battery I'd buy one as they are £10 of the net. But the back of the phone is another £20. I'm not shelling out £30 for stuff I shouldn't have to, unless I really have no option.

cheers for your time.

escalate compliant to manager if they wont/dont/cant resolve it, you have right to ask for complaint to 3's exec office as the contact centre cant resolve it - it leaves India - this is the complaint procedure as I was instructed from the exec office itself
