Hi I receieved the Vario III for xmas.
Whilst not an expert, i'll tell you what I like about it
1. size - it may be heavy (not as heavy as my nokia 8800) but it's slim , which is good
2. i connected it to my laptop and got >1meg (broadband) speeds !! note: it can be connected wirelessly or with a usb cable
3. the 'slide up' qwerty keyboard is awesome
4. fast phone - good response time
5. i used a vario before and this is just as EASY TO USE
6. fast internet when using the phone on its own (3G)
7. internal GPS - i can put tomtom/co pilot on it and without the need for anything else, it becomes a great sat nav device:beer:0 -
Thanks a lot for your detailed reply. You have sold it to me. You have raised another issue. I do have the tomtom 5 software which I had used in a previous windows PDA. I had thought of loading this onto the tytn2. Have you done the same and did you find any problems.
Looking forward to an early reply.

thanks for all your valuable user opinions. Is the device too heavy for trouser pocket? and how is the device as a phone? are the calls clear and is it easy to dial?

What is the best overall cost for this. I see that on Orange it seems to be the cheapest at around ~ £450 (12 months).
I can get it for £250 (upgrade) on £180 total line rental on a 12 months contract. Is it worth the money?0 -
Hi again,
The device weighs 190g thats about twice the weight of a normal phone.
