Is Octopus getting slow ?

I've just received my bill after not having one for 2 months, their excuse was they're sorting out a transpose problem with gen1 smart meters which is national, how true it is but I've had problems for months getting the wrong readings and doubling the amount per month.0

My electricity usage was deducted from my credit on the 22nd March, but since that point there has been a message on my account saying ‘A charge of £XX hasn't yet been applied. This transaction will be reviewed before being finalised’. Anyone else had this? I’ve been with Octopus since last June and this is the first time there has been a delay. It means I haven’t had a bill issued - which is normally issued around the 23rd of each month.

Had this in Dec, Jan and Feb. The gas and electric costs were showing in "view my balance history" section but my electricity export was missing. Each month I rang and they sorted the export amount while I was on the phone and triggered a bill.
This month gas and electricity export figures were showing and a bill was triggered but it didn't have my electricity import. Phoned once again, sorted quickly but I'm getting frustrated with having to contact them every month and chased it up.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

@HouseMartin567 I submit meter readings every week and usually get a bill a couple of days later - usually the gas part of the dual fuel bill is held with the same message as yours but it gets dealt with really fast.
Not this week. It's still saying 'A charge of £XX hasn't yet been applied. This transaction will be reviewed before being finalised’ - Mine has to be averaged before being sent out but as I said it is usually quick. However it's Easter holidays so maybe they are short staffed. Chase it up but don't worry about it.1 -

I do notice sometimes their billing system gets stuck if you submit your meter reading after a certain time of the day, but the bill arrives around after 08:00 the next day, overnight batch process perhaps?0

They are certainly being slow in crediting DD payments to accounts. Mine is paid out on the 1st of each month and doesnt show until maybe the 5 or 6th? By this time they have captured my smart data and conveniently shown my account in debt. I then start getting advice to raise my payments which i dont have to as if they credited them in a timely manner, there would be enough to cover energy useage plus a bit more.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
