Hi, does anyone use the above ISP, XLN? I want to connect a a WiFi Extender via WPS to the XLN Router but every attempt the XLN Router simply locks-ups. A similar Lock-up occurs when I try to attach another Extender / Access Point via an Ethernet cable. Basically, what I require in to extend the WiFi coverage.
Laptops / Desktops connect fine via Ethernet Cable to the XLN Router with any issues. But anything regarding "extending the network" causes the router to Lock up. Its like the Router's Firewall is set to block any form of network extending!
I telephoned XLN tech support (LOL) and firstly, they do NOT support any 3rd Party Extenders etc being connected to their routers. Secondly, they do NOT supply any Extenders etc at all. Their techie was very clear about it!
Has anyone experienced this? If anyone has a solution, please could you let me know. Cheers!

We use XLN and I'm beginning to think that it was a bad decision, but hey ho!We promise to answer in three rings - yea right - then just put you through to a message saying how important your call is.They forced their added extra 'breakdown cover' onto us which was a pain to get refunded.Anyway, I digress. We have a four storey holiday rental business. The router is in the cellar as that's where the phone socket is to work as an emergency phone for the lift.We drove to the site for the weekend as they were switching us over on Monday ... on Monday, we had a text to say they would switch us on on Wednesday! As we had to get back home, we plugged in the router and it worked! On the shelf in the cellar are two 'extenders' which go to all the apartments with several data access points and PoE WiFi 'transmitters' (I could ask WiFi John for more details if required)This was the set up we already had when we were with Plusnet and when the XLN router arrived I simply unplugged the PN router and plugged in the XLN one and it worked, so I didn't ask any questions!!!0
