How many of those 15 properties were empty/unoccupied when you sold them? I suspect you are a developer and/or landlord so the properties were probably not the 'usual' type ie owner-ocupied.

I'm surprised to hear that the normal time between exchange and completion is only 1-2 weeks. It always used to be 4 weeks, as the norm, but I may be a bit out of date, as we moved in here 25 years ago.

During9 lockdown solicitors advised same day (in case buyer or seller contracted Covid). Since then a gap has become the norm again (with exceptions!) but a shorter gap than used to be the case (as per your example).
