It sounds like a standard hot water cylinder, sized to the expected number of consecutive showers to be taken, would suit. A 70 litre tank would take about 1½ hours to heat from 15 to 60 deg C. You might need to be careful with total current draw if adding in hottub, etc.
For me, having a safe electrical installation to the room with its own consumer unit would be most important. Then having an electric shower becomes the most obvious and convenient way of doing things.
Whereas a standard direct tank would be able to use the existing? basic provision. So swings and roundabouts really,
Switching on and off could easily be automated. Leaving it on full time would help avoid frozen pipes. Running cost will pale into insignificance compared to running a hottub . .True! What's the hut tub running off as well?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Yeah I think hot tub heaters are about 2 kW and upwards, so if the mains circuit was a 16A breaker, only the hot water, or the tub could be on at once. So the electrics and water supply would need to be assessed0

Why not drain down the system in the winter? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1

interesting comments. Hot tub is more aspirational having clocked what folk ask for them
.
Doozergirl: I am kinda where you are- invest in an electric supply and just have a simple electric shower. Fire and forget. There is mains nearby but I think concerns around pressure.
As it happenes my house has a 60A fuse at the meter. Cannot be upgraded to 100A without a 3phase installation. I have a home ev charger and everything works fine.0
