Is there no way to get notifications for people who quote you?

Most forums I'm on will show a notification for people you quote you, however here I can't find the option for it.

It's been an issue where I've posted a question in a big thread and someone has quoted me to reply but I've not got a notification and had to scroll through pages to find if anyone has responded. Am I missing something?

go to account and privacy settings
go to notifications
there is one for "I am mentioned"

That was already on but didn't receive notifications for quotes. I've turned it off and on again so let's see if that old trick works

I may be wrong, but my feeling is that with that setting on you only get notified if someone specifically tags you like this
@yourlocalcheesemonger and not if they just quote a post you have made

Yes I did get a notification saying "p00hsticks mentioned you in [thread name]"

IMO this forum needs to add a notification for being quoted. Most other forums I'm on have this and not having this is very frustrating because you don't know when someone has replied to something you said in a thread not created by you.

@yourlocalcheesemonger that seems to be the case - I assumed it would do so if you were quoted but obviously not . I tend to bookmark threads  I am interested in and then notifications when someone posts

@Flugelhorn bookmarking is a good idea for smaller threads but for popular threads you quickly get overwhelmed with notifications.

I think this forum should seriously consider notifications for being quoted.
