So the cashout level on prolific has changed to £6 and they’ve introduced notifications of what the payment amount would be in dollars!

I’ve added £9.67 from Prolific and CC.

Yes, some of the studies now pay in dollars. I dismissed one yesterday as thought I might end up getting ripped off if they pay me in dollars and then paypal convert it back as some really stupid rate. Hope there's not too many dollar ones

I had a dollar one where .42 dollars got paid as 35p - they’re paying in pence so could be worse 🤗

I have added £51.60 in an unforeseen income tax refund, separate to a much bigger one I’m waiting for, and wish they’d hurry up!

  • Re: dollars / pounds.  Usertesting (both my sites) pay in dollars. It varies with exchange.  I'm paid to paypal, so sometimes I just leave it in paypal if something is happening and affecting exchange rate, and transfer to bank when it's favourble. I also have some things I pay for in dollars, so sometimes just leave in dollars and pay straight from my dollar paypal balance.
Is it paypal they pay to?

    @MrsCautious hurry for tax refund!!
I am due about £151 from overpaid tax. But no joy or sign yet "(is complex , maybe a delay.) I did hope it would come this month.

I wish they'd hurry up also, I want to use it to pay my disability rate road tax. That can only be paid yearly (by cheque, why?).  But I have general issues, so it may take A While.
Was never sure whether to count as extra money or not, since I paid, and it's my money just....elsehwere? But it feels like extra money/extra money back!

Good luck on getting your money back @coffeesonata and getting your Road tax sorted. I’d count the refund for sure! I see it as extra money you’ve had back, I’ve counted refunds on items bought and returned before - especially when they’d sat in my wardrobe for months.

Another reason I’m counting my tax refund is that it’s unexpected and due to a mistake by someone else.

Hope you have a lovely Saturday.

Popping on to give the following updates

£1.43 for an eBay sale after fees
    11p in Amex Cashback
£6.50 in Prolific. Some left in but I’d rather cash out asap.

£37.90 to go and have 15 items now on eBay, not sure anyone will want them 🤣🤗

Popping in to report a lovely unexpected payment for me - £137.47 from the Author's Licensing and Collecting Service 😂 Stuff I've written through work, but I only signed up last year and haven't had a payout before. I was expecting pennies, so this is a nice surprise!

Total for March is now  £144.36 😊 so £4.66 a day if spread over the whole month. Getting there, but hoping a couple of bank switches kick in before the end of the month!
  • Oh yay @Cheery_Daff!   Not a small amount of pennies either!

    You are getting there!

    I'm at £112 currently.

Expecting £125 bank switch before end of month.
£48.70 still due to clear in March for usertesting (from 2 sites)

Some bank cashback from Everyday cashback also. If everything clears I will make £10 a day possibly with £3 over, depends on exchange rate for some things.

I had a £13.02 refund from car insurance (should have realised policy mistake before and would have changed to probably get a lot more back, but small wins.)  I've counted that.

HMRC have confirmed one tax refund is approved and on way. May or may not come. Still not sure whether I will count it or not, but as you all said above it's unexpected income, and my goodness did they actually make me *work* for it to get it sorted out and agreed I'd overpaid and was due it back!

Still not managed to organise self enough to list anything on Vntd, or ebay.  Maybe some of that should wait until after Easter (I'm away. Partner will not remember to take stuff to post office, though some vinted clothes could come with me I suppose.)

@CoffeeSonata well done on getting your refund sorted. I’m waiting for £2,400 in overpaid tax back. No word on when it will be paid so need to chase.

I’m at around £132 so far, I’ve cashed out a combined around £9 from CC and Prolific. I have a few items on eBay which end this week and actually have bids on - a welcome change!
