According to previous posters on here everybody has an email address and a mobile phone to store the receipt so it is no problem.

When I said I didn't have an email address, she reluctantly found she could print one, which I needed a few days later to return an item. Do they expect you to print off an emailed receipt if you need to return something?
Managed to sign up here ok with an email address though? Nope, you show the email receipt on your phone.

And why would you risk being challenged by security leaving the store with no receipt ?0

I always ask for a receipt, plus I pay by card so I have a proof of purchase (albeit not itemised). If you don't, especially at a supermarket, you don't know if they've charged you incorrectly and you haven't got an easy proof of purchase in case of issues.I also tend to keep my receipts together each month so I can have a rough idea how much/often I am spending.0
