The police have six months to start proceedings, and usually take nearly all of it. It could then take 2-3 weeks before you hear.user123456mc said:Thank you for your replyCar_54 said:
You should be asked to plead by letter. As you admit guilt, you won't need to go to court.user123456mc said:Hello all, completely clean license but received an incident where i have ran a red light 10.1 seconds in ( cant even remember doing this) and no i don't run red lights i have no idea how I've managed to do this. This has been summoned to be heard by a court magistrate, can someone please inform me on what to expect and if i will need to appear or just court papers?
3 points, an income-related fine, discounted by 33% for an early guilty fee but subject to a 40% surcharge.
take it I should be expecting a long wait to receive these papers?0 -
Are the time and place realistic for it to have been your car?
Have you revisited the junction (even on Streetview) to see if you maybe mistook a filter for your light?1 -

You should think yourself lucky you could have killed someone
Running a red light by someone and hitting me is my biggest fear
I can spot someone making a wrong turn or speeding
But slim to zero chance of seeing a red light runner0 -
Same here. I was accused of running a red light about 200 miles away, they'd misread the number plate.sevenhills said:user123456mc said:The first letter i received was to admit to being the driver, and the second letter i have received informing me that it has been referred to the courts to be heard by a magistrateWhen I received a similar letter, I asked to see the photo of the offense. In my case they had got a letter wrong on the number place, so it turned out it wasn't me driving, not even my vehicle.Have you confirmed by seeing the photo, if not, maybe a good idea to send for it?Tall, dark & handsome. That length of time makes me wonder whether it was a case of edging forward and anticipating a green, or stopping slightly over the line. I don't believe you need to sail right through for the cameras to go off.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.
