Or should I skip that. I thought it will show their disingenuity.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

KeithP said:Hello and welcome. With a Claim Issue Date of 23rd February, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 27th March 2024 to file your Defence.
That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence and it is good to see that you are not leaving it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.Hi Keith,Thanks to you and all the others who helped all of us. I did send my defence. I received a generic reply. Is that what is considered an aknowledgement?

Hi all, I have not received the form N180. Is that usual to be that late to receive it> The post mentioned : 4. After sending off your Defence, the Northampton Business centre will send a copy to the Claimant, and then send a Directions Questionnaire (form N180) to both Claimant and Defendant. You must complete this by the date given, and send it back to Northampton, with a copy to the other side (or their solicitors if they've nominated one as the address for service). The recommended answers to the questions are as follows. And it says 2 or 3 months after filing your defence:
The CNBC will send you a DQ N180 form, that must be completed & returned to the claimant and the court, explained here.Other places mention you can do the N180 by yourself. But is it worth waiting and see if there is a discontinuance? Should I be worried or keep waiting hoping it is just a delay from Court?

Send the defence again URGENTLY and ring the CNBC. You are in danger of a CCJ.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Good news!!! Managed to call and get someone. She said my defence went to the wrong department...Then was sent later to the right department and the claimant did not respond on time. She asked me if I wanted to wait for Court to strike it out or to fill up a form to strike it out now. I obviously asked to be stroke out with a form!! So relieved! Thank you all and for everyone who might look up this post, keep following up and don't give up!
