NST March 2024: The Magic Roundabout

Yes please @apple_muncher 😁 I'm going to post in March rather than lurk!! 😉 

My plans....

Me, myself and I. - I started the year with good intentions but things have not gone to plan so far!! 🤦‍♀️ March is the month i get back on the self-care wagon with meditation, asana practice and a daily walk 😁 

Avoid those things that drain you – I'm going to cut back on the amount of news I watch and the amount of contact I have with a relative who is toxic

Gratitudes – there will be more than 3 - I've got an immense amount to be grateful for!! 

Inquisitiveness – I'm going back to learning Italian from tomorrow 😁 

Commit to simplifying your life, bit by bit - mine is pretty simple already but I'm going to concentrate on establishing routines.

Remember those who are worse off than you –I'll start doing this when I shop; I always forget until I'm leaving and see the collection point! 🤦‍♀️ I will be donating items to the local charity shops in March too.

Offload your excess baggage –  my charity shop donations will rid me of excess stuff 😁 

Use it up, wear it out, make do and mend or do without - I still have UPF'S in the freezer which I'll be clearing in March. Every meal will include at least two things from my current stockpiles of other stuff too

NSD count - I'm going for 24 😁 

Decisiveness - getting my routines introduced and established will definitely make me happy! 

Active lifestyle – asana practice, daily walks and gardening for me! 😁 

Budget – I'm going to try to reduce my food budget by an additional £20 this month

Opportunities - I'm going to make the most of the time I have and not waste it on rubbish tv!! 

Understand your finances: I've got a good grip on this already with the household budgets but think I need to track my personal budget and see what I'm spending on the most - it's probably on my grandbaby!! 😂 

The magic roundabout needed maintenance so have a good look around your house - I'm going to make a list of jobs again and start doing them! I do routine stuff on the 1st of the month at the moment (cleaning out the tumble dryer, putting the washing machine and dishwasher through an empty hot wash with soda crystals, descaling the kettle etc) but have avoided doing the big jobs that I intended to tackle!! A fresh look and new list will help me prioritise 😉 

I'm looking forward to getting back on the wagon!!

I'd like to join for March please @apple_muncher, and thank you for running the challenge. The last two weeks of February were a real pain family and illness-wise and I felt I had little to contribute .... although last weekend's visit from DGS1 and DGS2 shone a light in the gloom.  I love March as everything feels more hopeful and possible, fingers crossed xx

I will try again this month. Some days are harder than others, but admitting I need help with some things like housework may make it better. I really need to pull myself together this month - and ignore the roommates most of the time. I need to concentrate on raising money this month and the first part of April for taxes. Not good at this as health is not what it should be. So I will take each item on the list and post it to remind me. Thank you for the start on this month.
