iDMobile *** service...Is that right?

During the evening of 8 February '24 I applied for an iDMobile 100GB SIM card at an attractive price plus a Gift Card.  Their website accepted my details and returned an email regarding obtaining their gift card and a (downloaded) Summary of the Contract i.e.their system had requested all my personal details and Bank details. I waited the 5-8 days for the SIM but nothing has appeared. On 14/02/24 I contacted their online Chat point and after a lot of exchanges was given an email address (Documents) to obtain the status of my order.  Between the 15/02/24 & 21/02/24 there were daily email exchanges with that point but now, nothing!  That point kept referring to the Gift card when it is the SIM I am chasing.  'Complaints' will possibly just start the rigmarole again.  As I see it, the fault lays with their system: it has taken my private details etc and possibly lost them.
All suggestions welcome.
Kind regards,
Tim

Sorry I've read this three times now and I'm still not sure what the issue is.  Are you saying you've had no SIM or you've had no gift card?

regardless, since when was the gap between the 8th and the 14th 8 days?

  • If you are of a strong disposition and you have a Currys store within striking distance you could go and bother them with your SIM no-show.
  • Hi Neil,
    Thanks for your comment.
It is the SIM card that has never been delivered.

Today iDM have emailed requesting a Death Certificate? . Do you think that is what I might end up as needing?
I have had to request them to forward it all on to iDM Complaints since Complaints telephone number requires my account telephone number before they will connect which, of course, I don't have yet...!

    Kind regards
    Tim

I suggest mentioning the gift card is causing confusion. If your sim still hasn't arrived I'd advise contacting them and saying "I signed up for 100gb simnon x date with y order reference and I haven't received it yet" Sort that first then deal with the gift card later.

Anyone else wondering why it was such an 'attractive price'?

because ID as an MVNO have always been  trying to get  customers from  the  actual networks ...

also as Currys  as a  whole lloos to be becoming attreac tive for a takeover bid , gretting   customers on board   will be something that the current regime  want  to boost the share price   from the current somewhat undervalued trading price
