Inpost/Vinted dispute

I’m really sorry this is so long but I didn't want to miss anything important.
I really need some advice on an ongoing dispute with Vinted and Inpost.
I sold a ring on vinted in September and sent with Inpost.
The tracking paused for a few days assumed lost then as I was about to claim it moved again and the package was delivered.
The packaging was ripped open and the ring was missing.
The buyer raised a case incorrectly as a damaged item and not missing but she meant the packaging was damaged.
Vinted looked at the claim and refunded the buyer but not me as the item was incorrectly packaged. They said it should have been in more than a postage bag but it was in a jewellery box and then a cardboard box then the bag.
I disputed but they just kept saying the item was damaged but the buyer could return it or they wished.
I gave up with Vinted because they don’t read messages properly and just kept repeating the same incorrect thing.
In October I raised a case with Inpost and since then they claim they investigated and in November closed this and asked Vinted to reimburse me.
They didn’t and I kept chasing and again in January state they’ve again asked Vinted to reimburse me.
Still nothing.
I’ve made countless calls, sent emails, never received callbacks and it’s been going on since October. It’s been such awful service from them both.
Today I’ve had an email from Inpost saying that actually if Vinted say it was incorrectly packaged then that’s that.
Now if they’d told me this decision in October I might have accepted this, although I think they’re wrong, but they’ve strung me along for months and have been promising a refund will be made.
I’m absolutely livid and don’t want to leave this now but don’t really know where to go from here.
Any advice please?

Thank you @Alderbank I have read that. I was hoping for some more specific advice about escalating my complaint with Inpost as although I accept my contract is with Vinted, it is Inpost that have messed me around for several months and then backtracked.I really want to pursue something with them.0

ive had a similar issue with vinted, except i used yodel/collect plus
vinted are not accepting any responsibility for a yodel cashier mixing up my labels and forward the wrong items to 2 different buyers
they just parrot pre-determined email responses and say they have to follow 'procedures' and that i have to resolve this with they buyers
they are a disgrace - it seems they believe they are beyond taking any responsibility for their sellers or buyers
anyone know how i can resolve this as im becoming increasingly frustrated - neither vinted or yodel will take any responsibility0
