New Contract and CPI charges
Hi, I am in the process of needing to change mobile networks, but have just received an email from my currebt provider reminding me of the CPI increase in April 2024. Does anyone know if you take out a new contract in March, does that increase still apply in April? If yes, then dors anyone know how this calculation is applied, so I can avoid taking on a contract and being immediately penalised for it? Many thanks

Paragraph12.22 talks about the annual price increase and says that you do not get the mid-contract price rise on a SIM-only contract. So if you take a SIM-only contract in March then you won't get a price rise in April.

This question has come up each year ever since the networks started the "CPI + x%" annual price hike.
The answer is that each network has their own policy, usually with a cut-off date around now-ish, when new contracts will not have this year's increase applied. You would have to ask your prospective supplier.
Be good if people could add their intel when they have it (as @Mark_d has done above for Id Mobile) so the information for each network is available in one place.2
