Virgin Fibre April increase

When I renewed my contract last year I asked about the April increase for this year and the adviser said even though I will not be able to leave my contract due to the price increase I should call them anyway and they might be able to do something
I called a few days to ask if the April increase could be waived due to my personal circumstances ( I know legally they increase the price and I cannot leave the contract but I thought worth a go) the lady said it has not been applied yet so there is nothing to waive.
She suggested calling back in a few weeks but could not give me a definite date when the price increase would be announced.
Should we have not been informed by now about any increase in April?

Should we have not been informed by now about any increase in April?VM won’t confirm anything by email but they can make a note on the system and be sure to take the agent AND his / her line manager’s name.0 -
I had the exact thing happen to me!!
I renewed my contract in October 2023 and was told by the VM adviser to call back at the end of February to have the 8.8% April increase removed. I called today and was told there was no record of this! They offered me a new discounted deal for 18 months which was £30 more than the new increased monthly charge!!!!!!! 🤯0 -
Update.
I have talked to Virgin via WhatsApp and they are refusing to budge.
So from April I will be paying £27.50pm for 350mb fibre.
Still not a bad price I suppose and my contract ends Feb 25 so can barter again0
