Hope everyone is having a good week so far. Today has been such a day, slept through alarm which is never good haha. I then got a pretty crappy email 1st thing that put me in a crap mood and made me think why bother
- , had a very difficult call with a client so that didn't help, but once that was out of the way the day improved.
In more positive news my CC is now in three figures instead of four yayI will take that as a win. It is still £900 so a huge amount but when I think it was nearly double that 3 months ago I am super happy with progress on this. I am trying to get this paid off ASAP as this will free up a decent amount. I am hoping to pay another £100 Friday from selling a few things and then when I get paid I am hoping to pay a decent sum off.
I am looking forward to a long weekend, I also think I am going to start actively pursing a new role, I feel right now so overwhelmed with everything that is going off and been expected of me without any support/training. Do companies not value staff training and retention any more? Have we really got to a stage where companies now just expect people to be fully trained and efficient from day 1. I guess we all make mistakes and we should try learn from the experience, no matter how poor it is.
here's hoping for a better day tomorrow
p.s sorry for venting - but this place allows me to get my ramblings out and not keep frustration locked in haha2 -

@Sarahwithlove - I think it is more disappointment than a total unhappiness. I feel I was sold it as one thing, when in reality it is totally the opposite. If I felt I wasn't giving it my all or I was been unreasonable it might be different but that isn't the case. The role is something totally outside my other roles, but I was upfront about what my skills were/and where I needed support. I had got into a place in my old role where I was very comfortable and I was expected to do so much, on reflection I took on a lot of that myself and could possibly have handled that differently. I decided to go down the route of leaving rather than having a adult discussion with manager 🤣

Have you had that adult discussion with this manager?
Are you enjoying the work for the most part? Is it a case of you just need more support and training?
Never hurts to look for something else. May even get yourself a payrise haha*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

A much better day today
feeling a little more upbeat.
I have managed to get successful completion on a project that was a complex one and hearing it went with no issue was a relief as it as taken a lot of painstaking planning
One last day before a long weekend. Hoping the weather is nice enough to do something good over the weekend. No major plans to spend anything to much but a nice day out would be good.

Morning All,
Hope everyone had a good bank hol weekend, mine was a little spendy again. We went out with bro/sis and their partners and ended up buying sis her food/drink. Today is payday (thanks Monzo), we have arrived at payday with still £40 in food budget and £50 in the buffer fund so not a bad place to be in. I need to decide whether I just roll that over into this month or pay it off the CC. I need to have a proper look at month figures but a quick scan seems to suggest I spent a fair bit more than normal on dining out (we aren't big fans off going out normally). Also food was under budget and CC has decreased a fair bit too.
Hope everyone has a good day1 -
Glad you had a good bank holiday I think most of us went over budget in the end. Everything is just so expensive now! This is my first month with monzo so was nice seeing the note about getting wages a day early. I'm looking forward to refilling all my pots!*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

I love the monzo day early wage, it sounds silly but ever since I have started getting it the little one enjoys clicking on the note instead of dragging it into the wallet animation coz she knows it annoys me haha. A silly little thing but it is kinda a payday routine now and she even looks forward to it 🤣1
