The real size of a 15.4" laptop!

Hello All,

Ok I went into currys today for a hunt of a laptop!

I say £100 a toshiba laptop from £499 -> £399

I can remember the size of the screen but it was approx A4 size.

I searched their website and found what I think is the same deal:

but here it says its a 15.4" so does that mean its approx A4 size?

I say this as I want a small A4 size laptop and found this deal online:

15.4 is the distance from the bottom left corner to the top right.

the diagonal of a piece of A4 paper is about 14.3 inches.

so the laptop is slightly bigger than A4.

and will be slightly larger still when you take into account the trim round the edge of the screen.

The Curry's one is:
Height: 269.5 mm
Width: 365 mm
Depth: 35.3 mm

The ebuyer one:
Height: 260 mm
Width: 360 mm
Depth: 39 mm
