I have filled out template for a DCA with jaguar finance, however I have been unable to find a usable email address. Does anyone know how I contact them on this matter

There is a forum for this now

You can probably use the MSE template site to send it but honestly it's pointless as they are all on hold until the end of September and they can't bar you from complaining just because you waited. Indeed, all you are doing is creating admin work which will ultimately be passed onto customers, particularly if they didn't use the DCA model which was largely only for second hand cars as the new ones they would always push to get you the lowest rate in order to get the deal done

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

  • How do I find out the registration details of previous cars I owned?  I know the make and model, but I don't remember the registration details and it's not something I saved in my emails.  My online banking doesn't go back that far either.

Old insurance paperwork or V5 documentation? Not much else you can do, how do you know these cars had the DCA model or that you were affected?

BMW finance said to me they won’t treat this as a data request
We note your request for a response within 28 days, however we are currently reviewing the arrangement relevant to your agreement(s) to respond to your request. We are therefore not treating this as a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) under the GDPR. For clarity, the commission arrangement would not be disclosable within a DSAR as it is not Personal Data.

Due to high volumes of correspondence, we may not be able to respond within 28 days, however we will respond as soon as possible.”

You do nothing.  You don't need to do a DSAR.   A DSAR won't tell you anything about DCA.

Its a pointless add on to the flawed template available on this site.

Now you wait until after September as the FCA has suspended complaints about DCA until it has completed its review.
