Stuck in the middle of a family business fallout?

Unknown to me when I took this job in October I was walking into the middle of a family fallout. I was replacing a spouse who walked out after a fallout. The sibling in question is the HR person, she has cut our hours etc and the other siblings seem powerless to do anything even though we're busier than ever and all feeling the stress now due to reduced hours, she seems to be on a mission to make things fail to get her spouse reinstated and if that happens I am out the door.
I have been searching and applying to the point of obsession and It's affecting my mental health now all with zero joy I might add which I think just makes the situation feel even more hopeless, if I was even getting interviews mightn't be so bad but it's hardly surprising really as I am applying for anything and everything in desperation really as there's damn all in my field.
Not sure how to handle this !!!!!! show Any advice is appreciated.

What does your employment contract say about the number of hours you are contracted for?0
-
Never got one. It was verbal just with one of the brothers who hired me. Nor have I got set up on a pension. But I did go to this guy who said I could go back to my normal hours, she over ruled him and he says he's powerless as she controls the moneyDE_612183 said:What does your employment contract say about the number of hours you are contracted for?0 -
are they paying you via PAYE or brown envelope?0

also did you "opt-out" of a workplace pension?
You should ask ( perhaps the other sibling that's still there ).0 -
What do you mean by "normal hours" and how long did you perform these before your hours were cut. No written contract could mean a legally viable assumed contract is in place based on the working hours you were being paid for over a period of time.n1guy said:

Normal hours 40 hrs per week, we've had a day taken off now. Looking at that I must be enrolled within 3 months, its past that now.MeteredOut said:

The employer doesn't have an "option" in this:n1guy said:
No I never opt out, I was never put in to start with, saves the company money I guessDE_612183 said:also did you "opt-out" of a workplace pension?
