Hope everyone is having a slow Friday start and thanks nmlc for the start.
I’m very pleased to not have to go into work today, really need a day to get organised, that said I have to pop the van to my friendly garage as there’s a flashy warning light and the reversing camera has packed up.Other than that it’ll likely be chores which are sadly overdue! Then packing the van for an early ish start for a craft fair tomorrow.AA14 -
Good morning everyone - the sun is shining after yesterday's torrential rain - hoorah.
Thank you for the start nmlc
Take deep breaths SO and everything will get sorted, but I know how you are feeling
Hope you all have a good weekend. x13 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's raining here but I heard a whisper that it is falling as snow up in the Dales. I hope they keep it up there!
I've been MIA the last couple of days. Yesterday took the biscuit though! DD wanted a trip up to the 'van to see if it had survived the winter intact and to leave and bring back various things. She omitted to tell me she wanted a search of the cs in Otley while we were (almost) passing through! She is off on a girls' 4 day trip to a 70's bash and wanted my advice on cheapo stuff suitable for 70's wear! If I cast my mind back I can remember those days well! We did a trawl through all the cs and she managed to get quite a lot of clothing and shoes that she deemed suitable despite me saying I never wore them in the 70's!! She had picked me up at 8.20 start of the school run and I finally fell back through the door at 6.40, cold, hungry and very leg weary.
So today is to be a day of catching up on lots of jobs, but I have been time wasting on the lappie instead of getting cracking.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad, worried and lonely. SO I hope today goes ok for you, I am sure it will, but I know exactly how you are feeling. I have always been a worrier. NAN I hope yesterday went well for you Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Hi everyone, We went over to see Crystal and Nate yesterday afternoon. He was looking very washed out but we had some lovely smiles and played quite happily. Steve fitted a stairgate for them while we were there and I ironed some work shirts for Chris. Today I have to have a quiet day, after all the problems I have had with my stomach I decided to do the Zoe programme to see if I can find some solutions. I am wearing the blood sugar sensor they send and have eaten the breakfast cookies (a bit sickly and heavy to eat), I have more cookies for lunch - a lurid blue colour and various tests to do. The instructions are not to do anything so I shall hunker down with my book I think. I've been mulling over whether to do it for a while (it's not cheap) but if it helps it will be worth it. We still have scaffolding up from the solar panel installation, we're refusing to let them take it down until they've sorted out the broken roof tiles and there are a couple of other issues that need sorting. Overall though we're really pleased we did it and we're discussing installing an air source heat pump in a year or two. The gas boiler is approaching 15 years old so it will need replacing soon and we'd like to go down the eco route. It's Laura's birthday today so I hope she has a good day. They are in Bristol until Sunday so we'll have to postpone the celebrations until then. Izzy, not long now. Good to see you Coxy, I know how hard it is to post when you are busy. I hope your husband finds something soon. Have a good Friday everyone.14

Grrr, I do write my posts with paragraphs but when it posts sometimes all the formatting disappears, very frustrating.12

Morning - cold and wet here. I had the usual call from Oz this morning and was very unimpressed with the complaints about the heat.My pool session was tough yesterday but it was my hands which hurt. Holding onto the different resistance things whilst pushing pulling through the water was hard on my hands, especially my right one. I'll need to get some heat gel for next time. I didn't drive to buy Dexter beef as the rain was torrential when I came out of the pool so only went into town for a couple of rolls and to send back the Hotter trainers which I didn't like. Think I'll look at Skecher again, too many choices are not as good as it should be.Today will be calm.@Coxy - I hope that your DH's last day is good, sad too.@Wicked - did you enjoy the day out at the Children's Farm?@Taff - how did your falafel work out?@Izzy - there are loads of Pisces here, off the top of my head TA too. You'll soon be into your final week at work@DP1 - that's rotten about your lingering chest infection. The ABs will wipe it out.@Ruby - I hope that you feel better today, a snuggly day is always great.@Snoozer - I had a little chuckle at Steve though I agree that it's annoying too. Some men just zone out.@AA - did you get to the dentist?@SO - you'll be fine once there. People in the same position as you will always be supportive and kind.Hugs to our poorlies.

Morning all.
Well, after all that rain the sun is now shining. Unfortunately we and our friends decided to cancel today's walk as we thought there would just be too much lying water around. I suddenly realised that left us without anything for dinner, as we were going to have a pub lunch, so have taken the last piece of salmon out of the freezer.
Yesterday's trip with the GCs to the Farm place was wet, wet, wet! I was determined we were going to do it though and our 5 yr old GS really enjoyed feeding and petting the animals. It was so cold and wet we all had cheesy chips for lunch
Today I'm off to get some supermarket shopping and will then see what the day brings. I want to defrost the garage freezer but don't yet have enough space in the kitchen one so will have to wait a while.
Silver-Oldie; I'm sure your session will go well but can understand how you're feeling.
Happy Friday everyone.12 -
Morning all, my it's cold today. My appointment yesterday ran 30mins late and a decision was made, I now have a provisional date of March 6th for my op 😱 Things have moved very swiftly despite the apparently long NHS waiting list.
I called in Tesco on the way home for a few bits and got soaked going to and from the car despite going under the covered walkway, the rain was horizontal and freezing. They have extended the coffee shop and now do lunches so it would have been rude not to try out the food ! I bought Easter eggs for the DGC as they were on offer and some bits and bobs for DGD because she coming for a sleepover tomorrow and we always have a film night with snacks.
This morning I have already stripped the bed and put the bedding in the wm, I'll remake the bed later. Dad is coming over this afternoon then hopefully Mr Fix It can sort out his car tax this time. No idea what to have for tea tonight, I'll have to look in the freezer.
Izzy nearly at the end of an era.
Take are all, hugs to anyone in need. Many thanks to all for your good wishes too.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12 -
Morning all
Dry here for now but more rain due later there is so much flooding locally it’s getting hard to get anywhere ! My throat is still sore and I have an irritating cough to go with it now but I do feel better than I did.
Goimg to have my nails done today I think I am going for black I only have dark colours as the light ones don’t seem to suit me apart from an occasional French polish.
DD is working a sleep in tonight so only OH and I here for dinner I bought us a bit of steak each and I will do a few chips to go with it and a stuffed mushroom and roasted tomato.
Nan glad yesterday went well for you xx
Have good days all and take care xx11
