Today has been a better day than forecast although I took myself out to a walk around a garden and it poured for a while but then sunshine again. Got stopped behind a bus on the way home and was wondering what was going on but it turned out there were some sheep about to cross the road😂
Anyhow I have now caught up with all the house work and washing, lunch made for tomorrow and an early night for me I think.Mortgage OP 2025 £6000/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Got payslip and plans made! Quite a bit extra this month so putting a fair bit into savings I think although I might OP a bit extra than planned to mortgage, I will go with planned at beginning of the month and see how things are looking later on in June.Money appeared in my account from 0nep0ll so that’s been moved to fun savings which is looking much healthier at the moment.
I think I might start trying to make a bit extra each month, £100 perhaps? It might encourage me to declutter!Mortgage OP 2025 £6000/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

So after saying I was doing well my boiler broke down 🙄 while it wasn’t expensive to get fixed the engineer told me it was over twenty years old and so I am now thinking I should replace sooner rather than later. I have money I could use for this but I am going to try to save an extra £2000 towards it as I hate spending my savings 😂 it was amazing how much I take hot water for granted as I was miserable with cold showers and boiling kettles for one whole day!
I went for a drink and a movie last night with a friend and met some others for lunch today but both either paid in advance or cheap so all good. Feeling quite positive despite the setback.Mortgage OP 2025 £6000/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

£100 pm would be a great OP
boo to the boiler cost ! / loving the sheep thoughDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
