No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Lovely day here today, it was 9C the other day and 19 today! Lots of washing done, grass cut and read in the garden for a while with the cat as company = bliss! My neighbour realised my gate needed fixed when he was bringing my bin in so he kindly fixed it for me. Also spent lots of time playing with the neighbour on the other side’s dog, good neighbours are a blessing.
Paid friend my share of our holiday today so a bit spendy but worth it. I got an email saying my fuel bill is going down around £30 a month which is very welcome.I have also remembered to remake my bed after washing the bedding before I attempt to tumble into bed later, always a bonus.
