“ to address the rising costs and increasing complexity of regulations…..”
adding an extra 0.35% + VAT
Is this a response to the much discussed HMRC info provision

The HMRC information thing you're referring to is across many countries, not just the UK.

Whatever it's called it's just a smokescreen. The real reason is it's just greedy rich people looking to get even richer at the expense of the little people. Ebay make huge profits and fee increases are not needed.2

When I read the email last night and read 'complexity of regulations' I thought 'yeah, right!'. Any excuse to rise fees from the rising cost of living, to inflation to 'my wallet is nearly empty so need to charge you all more' bla bla bla.0

The fees are already too high,if it weren't for 80% off weekends I wouldn't bother selling.

We all moan when prices go up, I do it myself, yet we still stay as there is no real competition for a good general sales site online. However, having said that I have really cut back on my listings now, partly as I want to run down to a calmer retirement but also because costs mean I am not prepared to work so hard now to earn just a couple of pounds on an item - I prefer to sell fewer items but keep my prices high. As soon as I start getting massively undercut I just drop the line and let the others get on with it earning pennies in the pound.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ive heavily reduced what I sell on eBay already - I no longer sell expensive items there as its a scammers market now, with buyers able to easily return with false claims. From what I do list, its only on a reduced fee weekend. If it weren't for reduced fees I wouldnt use eBay at all.0

about the competition, there really isn't any. facebook and vinted are free to sell on, but everything's 20% cheaper. for example if I wanted to sell my £100 item on facebook/vinted nobody would go near it unless it was £80.
I often buy clothes and stuff from vinted now there is a lot of stuff that is so cheap, 50% of it doesn't fit me properly so I just list it on ebay for more than I paid and it always sells and I it covers the postage
