The Grandstream HT801 is a 1 FXS Port/1 SIP profile device, the HT802 supports 2 FXS Ports/2 SIP profiles, so the HT802 would work. But you would obviously be using analogue phones, not IP phones
Would the Grandstream HT-812 work ok as they are cheaper than the HT-802 in the UK?

Also looking at the alternative of buying a VoIP phone.  However, can't find any with answerphone built-in, presume this is because all VoIP services include a remote answerphone service.

Do any VoIP providers allow multiple endpoints for the same user so that you could have multiple telepnone extensions arouind the house which all ring together for an incoming call?

Our set-up is that we have two DECT phones, both paired with our Router (Fritzbox with built in DECT base-station). These both ring when someone calls. There are two quirks with the system (which are by design in our VOIP set-up):

    - The phone that we don't answer always reports "missed call", even though we answered on the other phone.
    - We can simultaneously make two outgoing calls, one on each phone. Both show as coming from the same number.

Picking up the "other" phone whilst on a call doesn't join you to that call. One of the phones (with an answering machine) is plugged into the router, the other one is completely freestanding - just plugged into the mains electricity. I can't remember why we plugged one into the router - maybe it was to make the answering machine work? The built in Fritzbox answering machine isn't really great for us.
