Ultimately no one is fully independent as ultimately the person you select is being paid by you and so will be motivated to ensure the report meets your expectations... its even more true when dealing with larger buyers of reports where repeat business is on the line.Duke4 said:The problem is they would send a technician from their company that is not independent and generally he/she will agree with the company not me. The courts however accept that someone has to pay for a report and therefore ideally look at the report for evidence of experience and knowledge around this. When you get into areas which commonly require "independent" views there are often associations there with professional standard which reinforce the whole requirement and create consequence for those that fail to act appropriately.0
