3-way calling to support elderly relative from afar with Warm Home Discount

Does anyone know of a way to make a 3-way call from a mobile or landline? I need to help an elderly relative get the Warm Home Discount. He has a mental disability (Aspergers/Autism) and a very strong Newcastle accent. He's just tried calling the Govt Warm Home Discount call centre, but unfortunately, he can't understand the overseas call handler and they can't understand him! So I want to call and join him and the call centre in with me. I can't make a 3-way call from my iPhone (EE doesn't support it), can't find that my Internet provider offers it (other than for a business plan) and conference call options (WhatsApp, Zoom etc.) will be no good to get a call centre on the line. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks

I suppose I could try a non-tech way and put two phones on speaker phone!

https://whypay.net/ could be an option. Not sure if it will let you dial out to get another party to join though.

Doesn't your mobile support 3 way calling?
On an iPhone you call the first person, once they've answered you press the Add button and dial the second number. Once they've answered you then can press the Swap to switch between who you are talking to and who is on Hold or press the Merge button to have a threeway0 -
No, unfortunately not - well my iPhone does, but my phone provider, EE. doesn't - they withdrew support for it in 2021.DullGreyGuy said:Doesn't your mobile support 3 way calling?

Whypay would be a good option for a conference call, but that's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a service to make a 3-way call i.e. join someone in on the conversation, rather than a service where people dial in on a specific number. Need a 3-way call with me, the person I'm helping and a call centre.

If you have access to a BT landline phone apparently three way calling is available either one off or monthly charge see this link https://www.bt.com/help/landline/all-about-3-way-calling it is also available on Virgin media see https://www.virginmedia.com/help/landline/managing-your-landline-calling-features1

You are aware that that is not a 3 way phone call?marcia_ said:I remember as a kid having s 3 way conversation on a landline. Gran phoned in, i was on the phone upstairs whilst my sister was on the phone downstairs.0 -
Does it have to be a phone call? Is there not an email or webchat option for instance?Katharinesim said:Whypay would be a good option for a conference call, but that's not what I'm looking for. You could use a VOIP phone solution then, install a software phone on your smartphone and call the two others. You'll end up paying a per minute fee for the two calls given the one off nature but should be 1p per minute if its 01/02/03 or free if 0800 etc.Katharinesim said:
