Phone saying 'Preparing requested download' when I open gallery?
I have a Redmi Note 11.
Recently when I open gallery to look at photos it shows the message 'Preparing requested download'. It also says 'View progress'.
I haven't requested any download and when I go to View progress it just goes back to the home screen.
It has been showing like this for over a week now and I cant get rid of the message. It's not affecting the phone usage or battery.
Any ideas how I can get rid of the message please?

There was an update to the Gallery app about the 5th February.
I guess that it's got stuck.
You haven't said what you've done to try and fix it, so :
The first thing to do is turn the phone off. Leave for ten minutes and then turn on.
If that doesn't fix it then check that you have a working internet connection.
If you do and other apps are updating then you'll need to go into settings and clear the cache for the Gallery.
If that still doesn't cure it then (making sure you have a backup of all photos) in Settings uninstall all updates to the Gallery app and let it update again.
If this still doesn't work then making sure you have everything backed up, then factory reset the phone then restore your backup.
