Go Outdoors returns process

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience returning online purchases in store with Go Outdoors? I am now around £300 out of pocket for several pairs of trainers that they returned instore. I did receive a refund for one pair I sent back in the post, but the instore process involves a hand written receipt as proof of return (unfortunately I don't have this now) - but 5 or 6 pairs of shoes are now missing and I am liable in their eyes.
Anyone have a similar experience or have any advice on any wriggle room?
The annoying thing is that I bought another pair of shoes when I was in store doing the return - but there is no CCTV footage to support my story, nor apparently any electronic record of my return at the time or date I gave. I can be accurate with this due to credit card transactions I have.
Regards
sandy

My only suggestion would be to try really hard to find the returns receipt. You would normally take the dispatch note into store with you - did they not indicate on that what you’d returned? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
Did they not give you any proof of return?Life in the slow lane0

Yes, and the OP has mislaid it.born_again said:Did they not give you any proof of return? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Locating this handwritten receipt would likely be the key to resolution.steakpie01 said:Hi,

Unfortunately if I was given any receipt I cannot currently locate it. I don't recall receiving it if I am honest. The interesting thing is that my wife returned some products recently and she was given a hand written receipt. This seems like a fallible system dependent on human beings. It doesn't feel like a very robust process and easily subject to variation or failure, hence popping in this thrad.
