Car finance from GE Money

As the 'home secretary' I've been trying to find out if discretionary commission was paid to the car dealer when my husband bought his car back in 2005.  Finance was through GE Money who, from what I can find out, is, possibly, now GE Capital.  I've tried to use an online 'contact us' form but it doesn't allow enough space for the words.  Instead I have typed in 'I need an email address to use more words than this box allows'. I may or may not receive a reply.
I wonder if anyone here has an email address for GE Capital?  I would be very grateful.

  • It looks very much like GE Money became GE Capital and then became Synchrony who are US based.  I'm guessing Synchrony would not be liable to any failings of GE Money.  Any thoughts?

Depends what you mean "became"... ideally you want to find your original documentation which will have the exact legal entity you contracted with, ideally their Company Number or FSA registration number. Makes it much easier to check if the entity still exists or not.

Did anyone get any luck with getting a contact email to enquire about car financing through GE Money?

You probably want to wait as the Government has intervened and is looking to close this down.  Wait until a decision is made.
