It makes sense that they'd rather people stayed with the fix. But with EDF there's no need to speak to anyone about exiting as they keep the page comparing tariffs but just show a warning that fees may apply before 49 days before the end.

The tariffs and the option to switch are available after taking a fix - a bookmarked link to
octopus.energy/dashboard/accounts/accountnumber/tariff-renewal/#/ is still working - it's just not linked from the dashboard - so anyone reading these threads should be able to keep checking for better deals.

Given the design of other pages like My Energy it's not too much of a surprise that they haven't updated the dashboard to show a link when there's no exit fee due.

If you have a fix then the link to the choose your tariff page disappears - that page is useful as it shows the current Loyal unit rates which might change in coming months and allows you to switch

If you're about to take the fix then bookmark the page - if just switched then find it in the browser history - otherwise currently the link is -

    octopus.energy/dashboard/accounts/accountnumber/tariff-renewal/#/
Lifesaver, cheers bro. I just signed up for a 12M fixed tarriff, and switched back to Flexible. Mainly because they quoted me day and night rates, and I ended up getting just 1 rate. Maybe they couldn't update my smart meter or something.

But yes,  using the link does allow you to switch from a Fixed to a Flexible. I only joined the Fixed 6 weeks ago and I've already got out of it.
