link to switch octopus tariff?

I've just gone through the entire website (windows PC, opera browser) and cannot find a link to switch, despite having been with them for a couple of years. I assume it's hidden to discourage people. Anyone got the link??

    Home page, "Change my tariff"

  • My homepage looks just like that except there is no "change my tariff" button lower right. Instead the space is blank.

If you have a fix then the link to the choose your tariff page disappears - that page is useful as it shows the current Loyal unit rates which might change in coming months and allows you to switch

If you're about to take the fix then bookmark the page - if just switched then find it in the browser history - otherwise currently the link is -

  • That didn't work jak, but thanks. Everyone else, yeah I'll call them but shouldn't have to. I feel vindicated having said from day one that this is not the "friendly" company that it appears. Things will get worse.

Well the answer is to vote with your feet and leave if you feel this way? Try the other suppliers and you might be surprised how low the bar is 😂😂

For info X (twitter) is faster for help and rectifying of issues imo.

If youre on a variable at the moment the switch option ought to be visible, if its missing because youre already on a fix then they only removed the early exit fees for new fixes taken from the end of last week - so its worth checking for any early exit fees first

What sort of error did you get when you tried it with your own account number A-xxxx substituted into octopus.energy/dashboard/accounts/accountnumber/tariff-renewal/#/

Some browsers might need https:// in front
  • Possible someone from this forum has been tackling Octopus on X regarding change tariff option not being available after someone takes a fixed rate tariff.

Makes no sense, reduces opportunities for customers to be able to easily compare with any tariffs that might subsequently be cheaper. You would think point Octopus making would be more valid if 12 month fixed rate tariff had exit fees.

    Octo responses on X

"Hi there, if you'd like to swap back to the variable tariff you'll need to contact us first. We'll then be able to action this for you. Please pop me a message if you have anymore Qs"

"You're still able to switch between tariffs whenever works best for you. Our new Fixed Octopus offering is our only current fixed tariff that doesn't have an exit fee so we just ask you chat with our team first before switching away. Happy to help with any Q's, just drop us a DM£
