The EA will tell the vendor that you have contacted them - if you scupper the sale you might have an angry neighbour on your doorstep!! Do you want to get caught up in what could become a very difficult situation?

The owner is an investor who bought the property at auction. They are unlikely to be a neighbour.

They could still be very angry and confrontational!!

Could be, but that is less of an issue if they are not a neighbour.

"That neighbour has extremely loud (club like) parties which generally start about midnight and end 6-9am.  He also tends to hang with a specific subset of society that yell & fight on the road at all hours, and I'm sure drugs are being used prolifically.
The council & police have been informed on multiple occasions, some neighbours have collected a lot of evidence, and he has been sent several warning letters by the Landlord (The Peabody Trust)."
This anti-social twit is on multiple record. Folk like that deserve no quarter. It's the Peabody trust - and there will be far more deserving folk who should be offered this flat. These types of folk need tackling.
All the - anonymous, if needed - email has to do is put that issue on the EA's record. That's all. If the new flat owner discovers their near neigh is a 'mare, then the OP can at least help them challenge the vendor/EA - the hard work will be up to the new owner.
    Or, do nothing.
  • My partner's life is made a misery by a similar neighbour...said neighbour was in prison at time of the sale, so he didn't get to meet him, and previous seller didn't disclose the issue, despite all the nearby neighbours having concerns. You can take sellers to court if not disclosed on the conveyancing forms, but you need to have the upfront cash to do that, which my partner didn't.

The neighbour lives in a home owned by his Trust fund and his family want nothing to do with him. Social services are linked in with him, but he never answers the door to them. My partner feels unable to move as he'd only really be able to sell to a landlord, and at a significant loss compared to market value, meaning he then can't afford a new home.

There should be more that can be done about these kind of neighbours 😔
