CEL letter before action help (I now have a court claim form??)

Oh no, I thought because my witness statement was attached to my defense that it was still considered a defense. Hopefully the judge overlooks it. My hearing is via phonecall which feels odd because I can't see any faces

Judge agreed that I did enter in the contract and see the signs, ignored all the other evidence provided and told me I was to pay the 100 pound fine plus costs to the claimant.

Edit to add: I was also ordered to pay interest at a rate of 4% as a 'gesture of good will' instead of the claimants 8%

They said that my failure to give my registration to the front desk as a visitor was mine alone. That its my responsibility as the driver to have checked the signage thoroughly upon entering. She said it was a clear contract case and according to the law I entered into the contract by visiting and parking there and there was signs on entry (which I disputed because there wasnt at the time and the photos CEL provided were of different signage to the ones I took photos of that were actually there.)

Which court? Bad luck.

I seem to recall there is a really bad female Judge at Clerkenwell who even lets the scammer have the added seventy quid.

St Helens county court. The worst part is that the online portal to pay hasnt been updated so I called the court to ask for the details to contact CEL to organise payment and the details they have given are an invalid number (08709155577) and their legal email address they never respond to. Should they not have actually provided me with a basis to pay? the website has the wrong amount (actually less than the court order) but sods law says if I pay that they will continue to pursue me and I want to avoid a CCJ

Regardless I want to say thank you to everyone who helped me. You cant win them all and I think If I had just sent my witness statement earlier they have been more likely to discontinue so my own fault really. Also still paying less than they were trying to extort out of me.

Doesn't the information in the How to Pay box on the back of your Claim Form help with that?...

That's good news at least.

Surely their WS includes both sides of the NTK which includes CEL's sort code and account number?  You can do a bank transfer.
