In the App has your Monthly saver account changed to an instant saver and/or has the interest been added to the balance?
If not that is the reason their system will not let you open a new account (yet).
I do not know the lag on time for their systems to show the old account as closed.0 -

Have also asked for the easy saver to be closed which can take 3 days1 -

It really is diabolical.1 -

And then it gives options to open a current account (!). So I think when I apply — logged on with a current account — it is not 'seeing' the current account and therefore disqualifying me. Very odd that TSB hasn't flagged this bug up and dealt with it by now.0 -
Thanks to the guys posting about not being able to view their debit cards, as I have that issue too. This would presumably explain why I haven’t been able to open a new monthly saver since mine matured in July 2023 as TSB don’t believe I have an open current account.
