In the App has your Monthly saver account changed to an instant saver and/or has the interest been added to the balance?
If not that is the reason their system will not let you open a new account (yet).
I do not know the lag on time for their systems to show the old account as closed.0 -
Yes has changed to a easy saver with interest added 04 Febretiredbanker1 said:In the App has your Monthly saver account changed to an instant saver and/or has the interest been added to the balance?

Have also asked for the easy saver to be closed which can take 3 days1 -
Discovered current account not being visible when asking to manage card so likely causing failure to open monthly saver35har1old said:

Was that the issue, after all? If so, did you manage to open the TSB monthly saver?35har1old said:

Have also asked for the easy saver to be closed which can take 3 daysI am having the exact same issue — now since 1st March 2024 (when the old TSB monthly saver matured), having tried various devices, browsers etc. The email response from TSB was that they didn't have any idea as to why it's not allowing me to open the TSB monthly saver (!). It really is diabolical.1 -
Yes that was the issue TSB was meant to be sorting it out.Decided not to wait and opened new current account was then able to open Monthly Saver just as well the issue is not sorted yet and I have actually switch one of the current accounts outDJDools said:

It really is diabolical. In any event, I think I've worked out what is going on: for some reason, when I click on the debit card for my current account it says I don't have one (I do). And then it gives options to open a current account (!). So I think when I apply — logged on with a current account — it is not 'seeing' the current account and therefore disqualifying me. Very odd that TSB hasn't flagged this bug up and dealt with it by now.0 -
Thanks to the guys posting about not being able to view their debit cards, as I have that issue too. This would presumably explain why I haven’t been able to open a new monthly saver since mine matured in July 2023 as TSB don’t believe I have an open current account.

You're welcome! Oddly, even though I can't open the new monthly saver since the other one matured, I couldn't also open another (a higher rate at the time than the one I had) monthly saver a few months ago as the TSB system recognised that I had an existing monthly saver (which presumably meant the system also acknowledged I must have had a debit card)!dingling68 said:Thanks to the guys posting about not being able to view their debit cards, as I have that issue too.
