They're saying they can't rebook you on your original flights because the flights are full? But they're also saying they need to cancel your existing reservation and create a new one. Surely when they cancel your existing reservation your seats will be released so therefore be available for rebooking? I guess there's a risk that when the seats are released someone else could book them, but if the agent is doing it back to back that should be minimal. Or perhaps Jet2 want to create the new booking first which is the problem?
I'm not sure what else to suggest given that we don't know how their systems work. Have you spoken to anyone on the phone rather than by messenger? Or perhaps by Twitter, it can sometimes help with companies like Jet2 who want to maintain a customer facing reputation.0 -
We have had a similar email from Jet2 about work going on at a hotel we are booked in for in Spain.
I contacted the hotel direct to ask about the scale of the work which in our case seems quite minor.
Might be worth you doing that as it might put your mind at rest.0
