I have two cameras which are also going up in price. £25 each annually when I bought the 3 years ago now going to be £50.
I use my cameras to capture wildlife by my pon and in the garden. If I cancel my subscription the cameras are useless.
Amazon know this and have us over a barrel.

We have just bought an AOSU video doorbell from Amazon for around £80. It has 125GB of storage in the form of an SD card. The picture and sound quality is superb (it even comes with an infrared light). No subscription.0

If you are paying annually, you can cancel and re-subscribe at todays price and get a refund on unused time. Only a short term answer but saves you some money.3

I'm now wondering what camera systems others are using that give similar (or better) performance but for better value?I pay £80 for 3 cameras, doorbell and alarm systemI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Added bonus was for the £80 if you get replacement devices if they fail1 -
Sarah1972. It's a good deal if you have multiple devices but when I first bought it was £25 each camera. Then it went up to £35 each camera so still lower than the £80 for two.
Now it's going up again to £50 so £20 more expensive than if you have multiple devices.
Maybe Amazon are hoping that Well say to ourselves "well I might as well buy a couple more cameras as it's not going to cost me any more to run".
I think Amazon are treating their customers disgracefully.1 -

EUFY wins... £99 no sub pays for itself in 2 years Has AI , 2K Video and excellent reviews.
Some people paying £80 subs a year... Crazy - Vote with your feet.
They draw you in by making it accessible / affordable, then commence a phased approach of making it increasingly a rip off, £80 today.. £150 in time. For videos they keep for 60days that you very very rarely view.
Amazon took 9 years to make a profit. Each business is loss making until they have their user base. They love blind loyalty.1 -
A quick question for those that have cancelled. Is the cancellation immediate or can you choose to cancel at the renewal date? I don't intend to renew but am happy to to let it run until the renewal date which is mid April. I've deleted my payment method anyway just in case0
