I have just emailed my complaint to Ford Credit and immediately got a response saying -
"If you have not yet made a complaint to the Ford Motor Company Customer Care Centre, please contact them on the below methods, as we are not able to raise this complaint on your behalf."
So do i also have to reach out to the above for the complaint to be fully registered
Thanks in advance

From a regulatory point of view I think they're supposed to forward your email on to the appropriate Dept however it'll take more of your time arguing with them over that point than it will for you to simply copy and paste your original e-mail into a new e-mail and send it to the Customer Care Centre1

I contacted the Ford Garage where I bought a new car in 2015, asking for name of Finance Company. They replied admitting that the car was purchased from them but said their records don't go back far enough so cannot provide this. So where to now?0

They replied admitting that the car was purchased fromThat is a strange way of phrasing it. Why would they admit to selling a car? There is nothing wrong with selling a car. So, admitting it shouldn't be necessary.Use your own records to find the lender.
So where to now?
