Disatisfied with BT

Following on from Martin Lewis's advice I contacted BT to see if they would lower my broadband price. I am currently paying £62.99 pm, but do not have the latest Halo 3 or equipment etc.I rec'd an email BT on 15th Nov 2023 to say that my broadband would be £44 pm. I then rec'd an email (which I've just discovered )that was also sent on 15th Nov 23, which states my broadband would be £62.99 per month. BT state that as I'm in contract until Nov 1925, that I would have to pay an exit fee of £883.19 to leave them. I cannot wait to leave BT now, but cannot afford the exit fee being a lone senior citizen.

What are you paying £62.99 for exactly?

Slightly confused.
Are you saying that you agreed to a new 2 year contract with BT on 19th November 2023? What services did you agree to? Broadband, landline, included calls, TV, Sports, wifi extensions
What is the name of the service you are on? Fibre Essential, Fibre 1, Fibre 2 etc
What do the two emails say, I assume they are different and one came before the other.0
