Taking out a new insurance policy with previous protected NCD and a claim

Firstly, sorry for the confusing title, but I have a question regarding a car insurance policy:
I have built up maximum NCD over the last few years, and have protected MCD with my insurer (esure).
Unfortunately, this year, I have had to make 2 claims. One was a 50/50 liability, and the other was the third party liability.
When I come to take out another policy (if I decide to leave esure), how do I mention that I previously had protected NCD when the 2 claims occurred? I'm guessing that I shouldn't leave the claims off the renewal/quote form?
I'm aware that the insurance is likely to increase, but I should technically still be entitled to maximum discount.

Whether or not your NCD was protected is irrelevant, you will need to provide proof of NCD from your previous (current) insurer - this is often on the renewal notice. You must disclose previous claims/incidents or your new insurance may be invalid. You will need to check the details of your current NCD protection but typically this "allows" you up to X number of claims in a specified period of time before your NCD is affected. You may find that 2 claims in a year has affected your NCD.0

Your renewal letter from your current insurer will show how much NCD they have given you. That is what you declare for any other quotes that you get.
You then declare the claims as part of getting those quotes.
Has the non fault claim been completed?0 -

Insurers don't ask what you did last year, they will simply ask how many years NCD you currently have, see your renewal notice for confirmation, what incidents you've had claimed for or not and if you want to protect your NCD this year if you have 4+ years.
If the non-fault claim is unresolved you may find its current counting against you so the renewal notice will say 3 years NCD. In principle if you were to stay with esure this would then be corrected in the future once it's resolved as non-fault and the NCD is reinstated. If you do leave you'll need to check with your new insurer if they will allow the NCD to be changed after inception... some won't.0
